Leading fintech platform PalmPay is celebrating its 4th anniversary in Nigeria with the unveiling of a ₦300 million giveaway campaign. The initiative offers Nigerians using the payment platform an opportunity to win substantial cash rewards.
The promotion, which commenced on November 1, 2023, and will run until November 21, is divided into three engaging phases, each designed to reward users in different ways.
In the first phase of the campaign, PalmPay users can win prizes by simply opening the app daily and engaging in a diamond hunt. By clicking on falling diamonds within the app, users can accumulate cash rewards, coupons, and additional diamonds. These diamonds offer a chance to partake in the weekly cash prize, adding an extra layer of excitement to the campaign.
For the second phase, users can earn chances to win by participating in giveaway tasks within the app. These tasks revolve around common transactions, such as airtime and data purchases, fund transfers, and more. Upon successful completion of these tasks, users receive extra diamonds and chances, increasing their share in the weekly prize pool. Additionally, users can secure an additional cash prize of up to ₦50,000.
A list of the available giveaway tasks can be found on the app’s activity page, and the more chances users accumulate the greater their potential cash and diamond rewards.
The third phase allows users to share in the weekly cash prizes with the diamonds they’ve collected. The more diamonds they accumulate, the greater the cash prizes they can win. The prize pool grows progressively over the three weeks, with ₦70 million available in the first week, ₦100 million in the second week, and ₦130 million in the third week.
Mr. Chika Nwosu, Managing Director of PalmPay Nigeria, expressed his thoughts on this exciting promotion. 4 years of significant growth for Palmpay
From launching in Nigeria in 2019 until now, Palmpay has seen its platform become one of the most popular fintech products in the Nigerian market. The company recently celebrated its fourth anniversary with a series of remarkable achievements that underscore its commitment to advancing financial inclusion in Nigeria.
The company experienced explosive growth in its user base, with 30 million users on its smartphone applications. The milestone represented a tripling of its user base since the announcement of 10 million users just last year.
Pivotal to that growth is its extensive network of 1.1 million businesses, comprising 500,000 agents and 600,000 merchants who have embraced PalmPay’s POS (point of sale) and Pay With Transfer services. These dedicated agents have played a crucial role in extending PalmPay’s reach across Nigeria, providing millions of additional consumers with essential financial services.
Recently, there were reports that the Nigerian government was considering expanding its official Forex market to allow the participation of financial technology companies, like Palmpay, Opay and others.
In response to this, Sofia Zab, Chief Marketing Officer, of PalmPay, noted that the company remained committed to providing solutions to Nigeria’s financial challenges and struggles, hence, it is studying and looking to solve Nigeria’s forex issues in the coming months through its super app.
