Nigerian music sensation, Ayra Starr has secured the top spot on Spotify’s 2025 Global Impact List for Nigeria. The list honours the 30 Nigerian songs that have resonated most profoundly with international audiences this year, underscoring the global footprint of Nigerian music.
The Grammys-nominated artist, known as the “Sabi Girl,” beats industry heavyweights like Burna Boy, Wizkid, Asake and Davido to clinch the top spot with her infectious melodies and chart-topping hits.
Her tracks “Last Heartbreak Song” and “Bad Vibes” made the Global Impact List, but it is her collaborative efforts that truly shine. Her song, “Santa,” a collaboration with producer Rvssian and Latin star Rauw Alejandro, has not only topped charts but also demonstrated Ayra’s knack for transcending musical borders.
The Mavins’ reigning queen’s presence on Spotify’s 2025 Global Impact List is further solidified with six entries including “Commas,” “GOOD FEELiNGS,” and “Hypé,” showcasing her broad appeal and versatility.

Her latest album, “The Year I Turned 21,” has also seen remarkable success, ranking among the top 10 most-streamed albums of the year on Spotify, further cementing her global influence.

The Global Impact List underscores this crucial role, revealing that 22 of the 30 listed songs are collaborations.
