As part of the Federal Government’s plan to help with job creation and youth empowerment, the job creation team attached to the office of the Vice President is supporting the establishment of private sector led innovation hubs across Nigeria.
NEN Hub (Yola, Adamawa) is a result of this initiative with a mandate to serve as talent acceleration points for young Nigerians, capable of rapidly accelerating industrialisation The hubs will work towards making the Nigerian economy knowledge-driven and smart.
“StartUp Mambila”, a project organised by NEN HUB with the support of the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), in keeping with this vision, seeks to increase and encourage regional activities with innovative groups across various sectors of the economy, with the aim of creating job opportunities for young Nigerians within a knowledge driven economy.
The program focuses on establishing Nigeria as an IT-driven professional services, manufacturing and agro-allied processing, outsourcing hub.
Interested startups that apply and are selected, would be trained for six months and provided with $5000 at the end of the training to start their various innovative ventures. They are expected to not be more than 3 years old and must have an idea that can be technologically developed to tackle socio-economic needs and also aid the development of the North-eastern part of the country.

- Interested startups should register at www.nenhub.com.ng from 1st – 20th February, 2018.
- All entries will be reviewed by the Selection Board which consists of carefully selected accomplished professionals from all areas of life.
- Shortlisted applicants are expected to be on ground in Yola for the pre-incubation demo on the 22nd February 2018.
