AFF Commences Accelerator Programme with Mona Pay, Hero Cash and Service City

Access bank powered Pan-African accelerator, Africa FinTech Foundry (AFF) has unveiled the first set of participants of its accelerator program. In an announcement, AFF named Monapay Myservicecity and Herocash as the benefiting Fintech startups:

Africa FinTech Foundry (AFF) is aimed at inspiring, training, mentoring, and investing funding into growth stage technology startups operating primarily in the FinTech space.

It also seeks to create new opportunities in sub-Saharan Africa by providing a platform designed to inspire and challenge African Innovators and entrepreneurs.

According to its director, Victor Okigbo, the programme is targeted at equipping 12 Fintech Startups with benefits that will enable them to scale to become world-class outfits. The selected Startups will have access to world-class mentors, seed investor, access to office spaces and a host of other benefits which include hosting, marketing, legal and financial services.

Recall that AFF organized its flag-off programme, #AFFDisrupt2017 last year to commence a series of activities that will culminate in the official launch of the incubation programme.

Monapay

Monapay is an Airtime payment solution for digital content providers in Nigeria. The Fintech startup seeks to connect sellers/service providers to customers who can pay for your products with their airtime. It offers payment options for one-time fees, subscriptions or in-app billings.

Service City

Service City is an on-demand marketplace for trusted, competent, and verified artisans.

Service city is a Fintech platform that enables to find, review, hire, rate and pay service providers for critical needs anywhere. The platform seeks to modernize, digitize and consolidate the highly fragmented local services marketplace so individuals can easily purchase “high cost of failure” services.

Herocash

Not many details can be gleaned about Herocash at the moment. We hope to see some traction from the Fintech startup following this programme.
