WhatsApp to Simplify Voice Messages, Extend Time Limit to Delete Messages Very Soon

Whatsapp will Soon Start Charging Business Owners and Here is What that Means

WhatsApp is set to bring on new features to its Android users. The Facebook-owned messaging platform is  currently testing a new feature to ease the process of sending voice messages. As reported by WABetainfo, the instant messaging platform is planning to bring the “locked voice recording” feature to Android very soon. This same feature had been rolled out to WhatsApp for its iOS users last year.

Just as the name implies, the WhatsApp “locked voice recording” feature makes it easy for a user to send voice recordings to their contacts. As of now, to send a voice recorded message, an Android user will need to press and hold the voice recording button until the recording is completed. Evidently, this is a lot of stress for the user.

But with this new feature, users would just have to click on the voice record button and leave it, no need to hold the button for long. After the recording is completed, the user simply clicks on the button again to stop it, and then tap on the send icon.

The “Delete For Everyone” Feature also Extended

Recently, the messaging platform also extended the time limit for its “Delete for Everyone” feature. This feature for both iOS and Android was released last year to enable users delete their sent messages within a time span of 7 minutes. But WhatsApp has extended the feature’s time limit to 4096 seconds, which is around 68 minutes and 16 seconds.

This gives users ample time to delete sent messages.

Currently, these features are available in Android and iOS beta versions. However, WhatsApp is expected to roll them out to everyone else very soon.
