The first edition of #MentorAfricaScientist by Data Science Nigeria (DSN) kicks off with 40 mentors. The initiative is a world-class data capacity building and talent development for Nigerian youths.
This program avails young aspiring Data Scientists the opportunity to be guided and coached by mentors. The mentors spend at least 6o minutes within 30 days with the aspiring scientists by communicate via regular emails and tele-chats and also via a tracked mentoring program.

This initiative of Data Science Nigeria will complement for their local bootcamps, regular Kaggle competitions, and will go a long way in helping them achieving their goal of training 100,000 data experts in 10 years.
The mentors are world-class professional data science practitioners in the industry and from the academic community, DSN believes that mentorship and experiential learning can fast-track the assimilation and application of learning in high-intensity fields like Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Advanced Analytics.

To qualify to be mentored by these seasoned mentors, you must have participated in DSN coursework & in at least 2 Kaggle competitions. The young and passionate data science/big data enthusiast has the opportunity to choose 3 mentors of their choice.
