In order to tackle some of the problems faced by Nigerian youths, especially youth unemployment and poverty, the Government of Kaduna State, with the support of the World Bank and the Rockefeller Foundation, have put together a 3-day Free Digital Jobs Workshop titled “Click-On Kaduna” in partnership with Digital Naija.
#ClickOnKaduna is a Virtual Economy training aimed at addressing poverty, fluctuating economic growth, unemployment, among the youth.

As a result of these pressing threats, many graduates and skilled youths idle away or have the need to migrate. This is why the Click-On-Kaduna programme, a virtual Economy training, aimed at addressing poverty, fluctuating economic growth, unemployment, among the youth was initiated.

The workshop which is scheduled to hold on the 10th-12th of July, 2018 at the Kaduna State University ICT center, is set to convene youths in Kaduna, Plateau and Kano between the ages of 18-40 years to be part and help contribute to Nigerian Virtual Economy ecosystem.

This event would consist of different skill tranings; business skills, IT skills, and creative industries skills. The training would be conducted by successful Nigerian freelancers and participants would be provided with the foundations and tools needed for them to be a part of the virtual economy. These tolls include how to identify, negotiate, carry-out and get paid for jobs done on the leading freelance platforms both home and abroad.

Each day would focus on a particular set skill as chosen by the participant;
Day 1 – Business Skills (marketing, business, sales, and translation).
Day 2 – IT Skills (mobile apps and web development)
Day 3 – Creative Industries Skills (animations, after-effects artists, graphic designing, illustrators, and content writing).
