Mr. Bank-Olemoh’s entrepreneurial spirit was nurtured at SystemSpecs Limited, where he worked for about 8 years before resigning to found his company, MediaVision Limited, an events management and sports marketing company, in 2003.
Sharing from his wealth of experience, his presentation captivated the hearts and minds of the attendees. One solid point he shared was that entrepreneurs must first believe in their dreams to excel and give their best to actualizing these dreams, even if it means cutting off some lifestyle habits and engaging in some others.

In his words:
You must be passionate about what you do, the most difficult aspect of starting a new business is human relations because the best thing to sell is you. Discover yourself again! Be your number 1 fan; you must believe that you will do well. Success demands the same thing from everybody. Who you would become 10 years from now has all the signs showing today.

He stated that entrepreneurs should start small, especially with “their most dominant thought” (the idea that dominates most of their thinking time) as this would help them channel all their energy and strength towards that particular area. This is very true as many entrepreneurs tend to start with too many things, get choked up in all these ventures, and may even crash.
He also emphasized the importance of managing finances properly. “When you start a business, your standard of living must first drop. After success, you can then go back to your lifestyle“.

With regards to what Lagos State has in stock to ensure this new generation becomes better, he said reiterated that Tech is the next big thing and that’s why the state is serious with its #Codelagos initiative to teach about 1 million Lagosians how to code, with plans in place to embed STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) in schools to foster tech.
At the end of his presentation, there was a question and answer session involving the attendees, where he answered several questions ranging from experiences, what-to-dos, and personal life. Then it was time for refreshments and networking where entrepreneurs met and engaged each other in discussions.
