Applications are currently open for early-stage Nigerian Startups to apply for the 2018 Pitched Global Startup Competition. Organised by Pitched Global in collaboration with some venture capital firms, the competition is targeted at qualified early-stage startups to provide them with equity-free $10k and mentorship.

The competition is designed to seek out for entrepreneurs who are solving problems and able to create jobs, strengthen these startups so that the founders are more likely to thrive on their own and make them more investment-ready.
The competition would be doing by providing startups with funding and mentorship as the supporting Venture Capital groups (Acumen, Echo VC, Ventures Platform) would be providing winners with mentorship for 3-6 months (winners will be matched with a firm with which there is the best fit).
Aside from the funding winning startups would also get to network, get exposure to potential partners, investors, customers, employers, and mentors.


The selection would go through 4 stages, these are:
- Stage 1: Preliminary Application – This involves startups introducing their businesses and its paramount to advancing to the next stage for startups. (Deadline September 17th)
- Stage 2: Pitch Deck Application. (October 1st)
- Stage 3: Video Application – Startups would make a short video demonstrating what they would do on the final pitch day event. (Deadline November 1st)
- Stage 4: Pitch Day – Startups would get to pitch in front of Judges explaining how they would put the money to use. (Deadline December 8th)
