Co-founders of Nigerian fintech company, Paga, Tayo Oviosu and Jay Alaraba were among 25 high-impact founders selected by Endeavor into its cohort of entrepreneurs. This was revealed at its 84th International Selection Panel (ISP) South Africa.
Mr Oviosu and Alaraba are joined by other selected African entrepreneurs from Kenya, South Africa and Tunisia (2 each). This brings African representatives to a total of 8 out of the 25 entrepreneurs in all from 15 markets around the world.
These entrepreneurs were selected by panelists drawn from Endeavor’s extensive network of board members, mentors, supporters, and experienced Endeavor Entrepreneurs. They were selected through a rigorous multi-step selection process. This is in order to identify innovative and driven entrepreneurs who are committed to advancing an ecosystem of entrepreneurship with a potential for high-impact growth.
Upon selection, Endeavor would be providing these entrepreneurs with comprehensive customized services. This includes introductions to local and international business mentors and stakeholders from Fortune 500 consulting firms who will help them address key needs.
Since founded in 1997, Endeavor has been geared towards “selecting, mentoring and accelerating the best high-impact entrepreneurs around the world”. With these recent cohorts, Endeavor now supports 1,793 entrepreneurs leading 1,124 companies in 33 markets around the world.
