Top ride hailing company in Nigeria, Bolt (Taxify), has added another classic option to their service range called Bolt XL. This is an extra large ride order available to users of the ride hailing platform.
Bolt, formerly Taxify, allows users to request a ride through its mobile app after which a nearby driver registered with the platform picks them up to their specified destination. The Bolt app allows the user to rate the driver and also comment on any experience with the driver that is worthy of note.
Before the addition of the Bolt XL option (which is accessed when the user swipes to the right on the Bolt app), the cars available could only seat a maximum of 4 passengers which quite frankly isn’t ideal if you are moving in a group.
However, the new Bolt XL service provides users with cars that can seat up to 6 passengers comfortably and also provides a lot more legroom. More importantly, XL can be used to order group rides, pick up family members from anywhere, go on business trips among others. The bolt XL service selects only cars with the required space and comfort for the estimated number of passengers.
The Bolt XL service puts Bolt ahead of rival ride hailing platform; Uber. XL targets the comfort and convenience of passengers while also making a ride fun. More so, it is affordable since more people can share the same ride. The only apparent con is that the Bolt XL service is limited to Lagos for now.
