Techeconomy is organising the maiden edition of the Mobile and Disruptive Technology Forum 2019 (ModiTECH’19) with support from the Nigeria CommunicationsWeek.
The forum, which will hold on October 24, will be anchored by founder of CWG, Austin Okere and co-chaired by Rack Center boss, Tunde Coker. The theme for this edition is “The power of Digital Services”. It’ll hold at Victoria Crown Plaza Hotel (VCP), 292B, Ajose Adeogun Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The forum has been designed to focus on the economic importance of technology in different sectors of the Nigerian market.
With so many solutions emerging everyday, MoDiTech will focus on the ones that are game changing. The solutions can either be based on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Analysis, Robotics, Fintech and others that have been targeted.
For the event, the Minister of Communications, Dr Isa Pantami, has been invited as the Special Guest of Honor.
The Deputy Editor of Nigeria CommunicationsWeek, Mr Chike Onwuegbuchi, said that the tech forum would be a great place to showcase the disruptive innovations that can impact the country. He said government would even identify those innovations that it could employ in bringing about desired changes in the Nigerian economy.
“For instance, the volume of data in the world is growing by 60% every year and for financial services in particular, the effective handling of data will be central to future business strategy especially with the unleashing of 5G technologies”.

With quite an amount of participation from the Nigerian government and top industry players, the MoDiTech 2019 forum is generating a lot of buzz and expectations for the event are high.
