Covid-19 Vaccines Access
On Thursday, Africa CEO Forum in partnership with International Finance Corporation (IFC) will be hosting a webinar on the participation of the private sector in Covid-19 vaccines access on the continent.
Around 1.5bn vaccine doses will be needed for Africa to reach its herd COVID-19 immunity threshold. About $10bn with additional costs of 20 to 30% for vaccination programme delivery will be needed for securing access to vaccine doses, distributing and delivering them.
For the vaccination process to be successful, the private sector will have to play a major role. The upcoming ACF webinar was organised to discuss how the private sector can help.
