IWD2020 Webinar
This week, Self Help Africa will be hosting a webinar to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD). Themed Women in Leadership – Challenges & Opportunities in Business in Africa, the event will feature women leaders from Africa and Europe.
During the webinar, obstacles and opportunities for women in business in sub-Saharan Africa will be examined. It will also provide real-life examples of the experiences of women working in Africa.
The event will host Hilary Barry, co-founder of Lady/Agri and Kalongo Chitengi, General Manager at AGCO Corporation, Zambia amongst others.

Worldwide Fashion Tech Conference
On Wednesday, Fashion Community Week is hosting this year’s edition of the Worldwide Fashion Tech Conference. The event will be hosted virtually and will include an exhibition and a discussion with global leaders on the future of fashion.

FITC Women On Boards Virtual Event
This week, FITC is inviting women directors, senior women executives seeking directorships and women with business acumen to its ‘Women On Boards’ virtual event.

Themed, Women On Boards: Catalysts For Change, Business Growth & Organizational Sustainability, the event will explore the keys to successful boardroom governance processes and board dynamics.
It will also expand knowledge of global governance challenges and their impact on business and socio-economic environment vis-a-vis board responsibilities.

GESAwards 2021
This Thursday, the Global EdTech Startups Awards (GESAwards), the largest EdTech competition and community in the world will be held virtually.

It will also look at the 2021 Industry Special Opportunities and Unboxing School Special Track and Request for Proposal to EdTech stakeholders.

Urban Links Africa Solutions Showcase
This week, Connected Places Catapult will be hosting Urban Links Africa solutions showcase. The event will showcase the solutions of the selected cohort of SMEs who have been developing their solutions to key urban challenges.


This will also be an opportunity for the cohort of SMEs to showcase their businesses, demonstrate their achievements from the programme and share their future roadmap as they continue to scale their partnerships and solutions.

Women in Tech Fireside Chat
On Wednesday, Women in Tech will be hosting a fireside chat with Lillian Barnard, MD Microsoft South Africa.
