Meet Teju Ajani, First-ever Apple Managing Director for Nigeria

In her new position, Ajani is expected to supervise Apple’s sales and business development in Nigeria.

Ajani’s appointment clearly indicates that Apple is looking to improve its market presence in Nigeria, and Africa at large. A study conducted by Apple in eight selected countries revealed that only 6.4% of Nigerians use the iPhone, a far cry from 85.4% using Android mobiles.

The iPhone manufacturer had stated that it was not satisfied with how low its market share is in emerging economies such as Nigeria and will be hoping to boost sales going forward despite prices remaining on the high side.
