With the Eid holidays, you could choose to travel or spend your days off lounging at home or going to the movies.

Ali’s Wedding
This movie is one of the best Muslim romance comedies out there. It follows the story of Ali, a charismatic and musically talented son of a cleric who is forced to choose between the woman he loves and the woman he’s already been betrothed to.
After telling more than a few white lies, his quest to please his father spirals out of control, with amusing and poignant consequences. Who does he marry? Watch the movie to find out. It is currently available on Netflix.

El Mammar (The Passage)
If you prefer the thrill of action, El Mammar is a great watch. This movie revolves around the Egyptian Thunderbolt forces during the war of attrition. The forces were led by the leader of group 39 of the fighting division, the martyr Ibrahim Rifai.
Starring Tunisian super-star, Hend Sabri and Ahmed Rizk, the massive production discusses the time period from the 1967 war to the early days of the War of Attrition.

Rashid & Rajab
What’s a holiday without some good comedy? Rashid & Rajab is a comedic movie about a freak accident that causes a wealthy Emirati executive and a carefree Egyptian fast-food deliveryman to switch bodies.
The unlikely pair gain different perspectives into each other’s lives as they desperately look for a way to revert to their former selves. You can find out if they ever got their bodies back on Netflix.

Kingdom of Heaven
This movie is a bit of a classic but it’s a must-watch. The film follows Balian of Ibelin, a man grieving the death of his wife and on the run for murdering a corrupt priest.
Balian reunites with his lost father, Barisan and they return to Jerusalem to try to keep the peace between King Baldwin IV, a dying leper, and the sultan, Saladin. However, things did not go as planned. The movie is currently available on Amazon.
The movie is rated 7.2% on iMDB and 39% on Rotten tomatoes. However, the later released directorial cut got much better reviews.
Muhammad: The Messenger of God
The Eid celebration isn’t complete without the celebration of Prophet Muhammad. The 2015 movie Muhammad: The Messenger of God has been widely reviewed as one of the best film representations of the Prophet.
The movie revolves around the childhood of the Muslim prophet Muhammad. It also depicts pre-Islamic Arabia as seen through the eyes of Muhammad from birth to the age of 13.
The movie is rated 7.5 on iMDB.

After John Wick and Denzel Washington, Jason Statham is another beast you don’t want to piss off. In his latest film, Jason plays a cold and mysterious character working at a cash truck company responsible for moving hundreds of millions of dollars around Los Angeles each week.
The one thing unsuspecting robbers didn’t know was that he was on a path to revenge and anyone caught in that path was going to end up in a body bag. If you’re a Statham fan, you’re not going to be disappointed with this one! It’s already out in cinemas.

Breaded Life
Filled with Nollywood stars like Jide Kosoko & MC Lively, Breaded Life is a comedic movie that has been cracking up all its viewers. The movie follows the adventure of an irresponsible young man in conflict with his mother.
He wakes up one day and to his surprise, no one he knows can recognize him, except for a local bread hawker. Life with the bread seller exposes him to a life in the underworld where unexpected things happen. You can catch the movie in the cinemas
The movie currently has no rating but it was among the top 10 grossing movies in the Nigerian Cinema in April.
Peter Rabbit 2: Rabbit On The Run
If you enjoy animated films, you’re in for a treat this Eid. Peter Rabbit 2: Rabbit on the Run is the second movie about Rogue.
The makeshift rabbit family is quite content with life but for Mr Peter whose reputation precedes him. His past mischief is what defines him. But soon, he has to decide how he wants to spend his life. Will a new path be trodden, or will he be the same old Peter?
