Popular Music Mogul, Michael Collins, also known as Don Jazzy, through profound generosity has launched a crowdfunding platform to aid Nigerians in securing funds for projects.
According to a GEM survey, Nigeria accounts for the highest number of entrepreneurs in the world. However, among the entrepreneurial group in Nigeria, 50% of them fail in their first year due to a lack of funding.
Don Jazzy, who is known on social media for his generosity and willingness to aid Nigerians to pursue creative projects by providing funding, has taken the extra step in his benevolent acts by creating a platform where more people can join him.
He took to his social media to share the news.

People that can help you raise the money will come thru for you. But for today I’m going to go thru the projects and pick 10 people to Sapio fund their 100k project.”

Sapio Funds is similar to the popular GoFundMe platform and can be accessed anywhere and anytime on a smartphone. Funds can be generated for and by loved ones for various reasons and projects such as Health reasons, Tuition, etc.
The platform is also available for donors who wish to help others reach their goals on the website. To set up a campaign for donation on the website, new users must register on the platform and create a fundraising campaign.
Links to the campaign can be shared via social media in order to reach potential donors. Accumulated funds can be withdrawn even without reaching the target should the account holder be in dire need of them.
With Sapio Funds, Nigerians will be able to have access to the funding they need to cater for basic needs as well as push creative projects. The platform also creates an avenue for investors and foundations to scout for fresh innovative ideas in need of funding as well as reach people who are in truly desperate situations.
