Update: The team at Printivo reached out to Technext about the true picture of the CEO appointment at the company. According to the team, Temitope Ekundayo (former head of growth) and Ibukun Oloyede (former chief operation officer) were named co-CEO.
According to the team, the appointment will significantly grow the business and help Printivo achieve more milestones in the coming years. About a month after Oluyomi announced his stepping down as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the digital printing company, Printivo, the company has appointed a replacement, its growth chief, Temitope Ekundayo and Ibukun Oloyede (former chief operation officer) as its new joint-CEO.
Either Ekundayo or Ibukun Oloyede, both long-standing executives at Printivo have been expected to take on the leadership role after Ojo.
Ekundayo confirmed the appointment by updating his profile on both Twitter and LinkedIn yesterday. He is said to have a passion for growth, sales, customer experience strategies to scale up and grow tech-enabled companies.
Asides from his new position, Ekundayo is also the co-founder and head of growth at a blockchain technology startup, GetEquity. Asked about his intention to manage both platforms efficiently, Ekundayo said this to Techcabal:
“I always devote 100% to everything I do. They are two different tangential businesses and with a solid team. I’ve been able to run both effectively and I doubt it will get to a point where I can’t effectively run both of them.”
Temitope Ekundayo is a graduate of Geology and Earth Science from the University of Portharcourt. He also holds a Global Exchange Programme short service certificate from the University of Sussex.
He is said to be the mastermind of Promostack, an online platform launched by Printivo in November last year. It allows Africans can discover and order customised gifts and promotional items around the world from the comfort of their homes and offices.
Recall that former CEO, Oluyomi Ojo announce his resignation as CEO of Printivo in a blog post titled; My Watch has Ended. Oluyomi had held the position since 2014 when he co-founded Printivo with Ayodeji Adeogun and Ibukun Oloyede.
Oluyomi said he will continue to serve as a director on Printivo’s board and he will keep supporting the team. He also expressed his interest to continue building and providing solutions to problems.
