Clickafix, a marketplace for hiring the services of skilled workers, has debuted in Lagos.
The tech-driven platform is seeking to bridge the gap between skilled professionals and service seekers who are unaware of the best place to get the right service providers to carry out repairs in their homes and offices.
With Lagos as an entry point for the platform, Nigerians living in the commercial city can make use of Clickafix to meet home service needs and have repair works sorted promptly.
How Clickafix works
Available in Lagos only, users simply have to download the Clickafix app on Google Play and Apple’s App Store to get started.
Once this is done, the user gets a prompt to provide a working phone number and set locations to access the services of onboarded handymen. As soon as a customer downloads the app on a phone, the customer is in charge.
The customers only need to enter their phone number, choose the service required, select a preferred professional, select the time they would like the service delivered, and make payment as agreed with the service providers, all within the app.
The app currently has about 500 skilled professionals to help with the home repair, installation and maintenance needs of users.
Clickafix is backed by Paystack for seamless payments to professionals while ensuring service seekers get value.
Speaking at the presentation of the app, Founder, Pawan Bhandari said: “The app is designed to provide professional services to Nigerians who require the service of skilled service providers at the convenience of their homes. You can get a barber, plumber, and generator repairs all at your fingertips.”
The Clickafix app currently offers eight services to users: plumbing, electrical installation, appliance repairs, hair and beauty for women, hair and care for men, carpentry, AC & refrigeration and portable generator repairs.
Transforming artisans into entrepreneurs
According to Bhandari, Clickafix will empower artisans with more opportunities that will help transform them into successful entrepreneurs.
Clickafix is out to make life easier for customers. It will also create more opportunities for artisans to boost their trade and transform them into successful entrepreneurs. With the app, they will get the best value for their services.
Pawan Bhandari said at the launch of Clickafix.
On the quality of service, Head of Partnerships, Clickafix, Precious Akan noted that the app has partnered with relevant training institutes and bodies to ensure qualified and competent professionals attend to users.
Bhandari said Clickafix as a marketplace is a technology-enabled platform that rides on choice and convenience. To build trust, he said: “We have partnered with top quality training institutes and have thoroughly verified every single service provider such that service rendered via the app is fully secured and until the customer is completely satisfied, the service is not concluded.”
Customers will have access to onboarded professionals with details of their years of experience and areas of competence listed, giving customers the opportunity to choose preferred artisans and request services. The artisans will be at the doorstep of the customers in no more than 45 minutes to deliver service.
Lagos as the market
Clickafix is location-based and provides service seekers and professionals access to jobs or professionals closest to them in Lagos state.
Bhandari urged professionals in the city to enrol, expressing confidence in the app’s ability to help them meet their needs and deepen entrepreneurship in Lagos.
