Here is a list of confirmed speakers for the GAT Summit 2022

The maiden edition of the Government and Tech Summit (GAT Summit 2022) is scheduled to hold this Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. As a key feature, the event will host the biggest names in the tech industry and regulators, including major 2023 presidential candidates.

A key part of the event is the keynote address which will be delivered by the governor of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who will be speaking on Regulating for prosperity – The Lagos example.

His presentation at the GAT Summit 2022 will focus on the importance of having progressive regulation for a peaceful and prosperous society using Lagos as an example.

Meanwhile, here is the list of other speakers you will be meeting at GAT Summit 2022, in no particular order:

Fejiro Hanu Agbodje

Fejiro is a pioneer in the African Crypto space. He is the Founder/CEO of Patricia Technologies, an alternative payment solutions company redefining everyday transactions through the power of Blockchain Technology, one crypto transaction at a time.

An avid traveller on a never-ending quest for knowledge, Hanu has, over the past five years, proven himself a trail-blazer in the Fintech and Crypto space and has been honoured with awards and recognitions for his contributions to the African Fintech and Crypto space.

Yomi Adedeji

Yomi Adedeji co-founded Softcom in 2007 and currently serves as the CEO of SoftcomX, the parent company of Softcom and Eyowo. 

He is responsible for setting the vision and overall strategic direction for the organisation. Yomi is passionate about using technology to deliver inclusion and growth for humanity and daily leads the company to deliver on this goal.

Yomi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Covenant University and he is an alumnus of the Stanford University SEED program on Innovation and General Management.

Adewale Adeyipo

Adewale is a proficient technology enthusiast, and Business Executive with extensive experience in Strategy, Management, and Leadership.

He is the Group CEO of CWG, a leading ICT conglomerate with Headquarters in Lagos and operations in three (3) other African countries. He is known for his knacks in proffering diverse angles on innovation and an aggressive drive for new ideas, revenue generation, and market penetration.

Adewale has earned a reputation as a truly accomplished and highly respected professional within the sub-Saharan region, given his diverse experience and the application of technology, as an enabler for business success and expansion.

Adewale holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Ilorin. He is an alumnus of several Institutions, with extensive study in Management and Leadership from renowned institutions, including Lagos Business School, Business School Netherlands, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and London Business School.

Bukola Olutayo

Bukola Olutayo believes he always adds value to any institution through innovation. Hence, his personal tagline is “Adding value through innovation”. He is an astute tech savvy banker.

He is the author of the fast-selling book Redefining your Marketplace with a special focus on digital innovation, a book that discusses how businesses can move from average to great with a special focus on digital innovation.

Bukola helped to build the Stellas app and project it to the world; he also helped raise additional capital for the expansion of Stellas. He is an experienced investment banker of over 12 years, and he has managed portfolios size of over a Billion Naira using different portfolio management strategies like active portfolio management, bottom-up and indexing.

He is a qualified accountant with over 13 years of experience in several industries, and he has exceptional skills in accounting, financial modelling, IFRS conversion, budgeting, costing, and performance management.

Bola Ajomale

Bola Ajomale is a highly versatile investment and financial adviser with over 20 years’ cognate experience in the finance industry both locally and internationally. He trained as an accountant in Ernst & Young and as a stockbroker in City Securities Limited where he headed Stockbroking operations.

He expanded his research and financial advisory skills at Agusto & Co where he was a Senior business consultant. His international exposure includes various project and investment advisory work at Manulife Financial and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board both in Canada.

Bola read Economics at the University of Leeds (UK). He is a Fellow and member of the Council of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS), a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI UK) where he is the inaugural National Advisory Council President.

He sits in a non-executive capacity on the Boards of Directors of several non-public companies and is a Trustee of the Association of Securities Exchanges of Nigeria.

Professor Ajayi Ayodele Ebenezer

Professor Ajayi Ayodele Ebenezer is a Professor of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering with an emphasis on Soil Physics and Carbon Management at the Federal University of Technology, Akure.

Prof. Ajayi served as Adviser to the Executive Governor of Ekiti (2008 – 2010) with beats covering Higher Education, Agriculture, Commerce and Industry, and Public Utilities Infrastructure.

He is a member of Nigeria’s Standing Committee on Research and Development and a member, of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG) Triplex Helix Steering Committee.

He pioneered the establishment of the first of its kind Triple-Helix model (University – Government – Private sector) jointly-owned managed Technology Hub, christened Akure Tech Hub, commissioned in February 2018.

Prof. Ajayi is committed to the promotion of Innovation and Entrepreneurship pedagogy in Nigerian HEIs.

Jeffrey Williams-Edem

Jeffrey is an expert in sales growth and optimisation and is a business and market development strategist. He stays building strategic businesses and partnerships across the Africa payment industry. 

He is focused on achieving exceptional results in a highly competitive business environment that demands continuous improvement and volume/profit focus results.

His experience cuts across Business and Sales Experiences in Fintech, Retail, Payment Technology, Consulting, Hospitality, Servicing and OEMs.

Mohammed Ibrahim Jega

Mohammed Ibrahim Jega is an accomplished highly-organised Project Manager and Business Developer with 19+ years of experience.

He is also a serial tech entrepreneur, startup advisor/mentor, fintech expert, Blockchain advocate, International Partner World Business Angel Investment Forum (WBAF), an Official Member of the Forbes Business Council and Director at Silicon Valley-based Founder Institute.

Mohammed Co-founded Domineum Blockchain Solutions, a Distributed Ledger Technology Company providing Blockchain-as -a service solutions. He is a Director at Vogue Pay, an online payment processing company and also a Director at Vpd.money, a challenger bank. 

He is the Founder of Startup Arewa, a platform designed to build a sustainable northern tech ecosystem and unlock the region’s potential. He is one of the 30 nominees of Abuja-based African Digital Voices inducted into the AFRICAN DIGITAL VOICES NETWORK.

He sits on the board of several tech companies such as Chairman Board AgriTECH Hub, Impact Hub, FSI, Hartfield Group, Young Innovators Nigeria, Nigeria Association of Computing Students (NACOS), Kickcity, Ambassador Cyber Security Challenge Nigeria (CYSEC-NG), Regional Ambassador Codefest International.

Oluwemimo J. Osanipin

Oluwemimo is the COO of JET Motors, and is a financial and audit expert with a wealth of experience acquired while working in the trading and financial industries as an Accountant, Auditor, IT Auditor and Business Manager.

He is a hands-on consultant with expertise in risk management, finance, tax, Microfinance, financial training, IT implementation, and IT audit. He worked as Group Head, Finance and Accounts, with The GIG Group before JET Motor Company.
