LinkedIn has introduced a new feature that simplifies the process for job seekers to express their interest in working for a company, particularly during instances where there are no open vacancies or they are not ready to apply.
With the “I’m interested” button, individuals can easily indicate their desire to join a company without the need to apply for a specific role. This feature also facilitates direct connection with the hiring team, enabling a faster and more streamlined communication channel.
When you signal your interest in working for an organisation on LinkedIn, the hirers within the company you have shown interest in can share your profile with their hiring team. This sharing of information is not made public on LinkedIn’s newsfeed, visible to your connections, or accessible to other companies.
LinkedIn also prioritizes privacy protection, ensuring that only hirers from the company you have expressed interest in can see that you have shown interest. Hirers from other companies will not have access to this information.

How to notify your dream company on LinkedIn
You need to create or already have a LinkedIn account. After that, search for your dream company via the LinkedIn search feature. Once you have seen the company’s account, click it and go to the “About” page under the Overview section.
You will see the “I’m interested” button. Click on it, the next step is the waiting period. You can express interest in working for a company even without an open role being available.
At this point, hirers within the company are notified of your interest, and recruiters at the company will be able to view your profile when searching for interested candidates in the future for any open role that fits your skill and experiences.
The interest you have indicated has a time limit and will no longer be visible after one year. However, you have the option to disable it at any time, allowing each user to decide whether or not to utilize it.
It’s important to note that not all companies’ profile carry this feature, as it is exclusively available to those who use Recruiter, a specific LinkedIn license. Therefore, not all companies will have access to and utilize this feature.
