Elon Musk has reportedly decided to part ways with the iconic Twitter bird logo and Twitter-related memorabilia and office equipment through an online auction sale next month.
This decision comes just weeks after Elon Musk rebranded the Twitter company as X, which included the company’s logo and the entire focus. The auction is tagged “Twitter Rebranding: Online Auction Featuring Memorabilia, Art, Office Assets & More!”
There are also 584 lots on offer and this includes:

It also has a picture of the tweet by then-US President, Barack Obama upon his re-election in November 2012. This particular tweet earned the distinction of being the most-liked tweet on the platform at that time.

Is this the last time we see the Twitter bird logo?
In January, Twitter had an online auction that lasted for just 27 hours. At that time, it had over 600 lots that were up for sale, from office supplies to Twitter-specific memorabilia. Although, the bidding price was way higher than this new auction as prices went up to $22,000. The auction sale in January might have been the first kick-off to do away with some of Twitter items.
Since Elon Musk took over in 2022, the company has been having some very challenging financial moments. Thousands of employees were laid off and the company changed its operating system all in a bid to cut down costs and grow revenue. It has also been hit with different lawsuits including office rent payment issues.
It is unsure if this will be the final auction sale to get rid of the company’s “old stuff” but with its new rebranding to X, Elon Musk seems quite interested in getting rid of everything that resembles or have a memory of what the old company (Twitter) looks like and represented.
