Candidates who chose Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU), Ile-Ife, as their first choice in the 2023 UTME and scored 200 or above, or those who applied for Direct Entry (DE), should note that the registration for the 2023 Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (PUTME) screening exercise will commence on Monday, August 14th, and end on Monday, September 11th, 2023.

Step by Step registration process

Step 1: Visit the Official Registration Portal On Monday, August 14, the registration portal opens. All aspiring OAU students are required to visit the official registration portal at admissions.oauife.edu.ng. If you scored 200 and above in your JAMB examination, here is your starting point for the entire registration process. You can access the portal here.

Step 2: Log in to Your Account Once on the portal, log in using your Registration Number as the Username and your Surname as the Password. This will grant you access to the registration platform, allowing you to proceed with the necessary steps.

Step 3: Complete the Biodata Form Fill out the biodata form provided on the portal. Ensure that all the information you provide is accurate and up-to-date. Once you’ve completed the form, click on the “Continue” button to proceed.

Step 4: Generate the RRR for Payment To move forward with the registration, you need to obtain an RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference) from the same portal. This reference will be used for making the payment associated with the registration process. You can make this payment either online or at any commercial bank, based on your convenience.

Step 5: Confirm Payment and Re-Login Once your payment is successfully completed, the system will automatically log you out. Now, you can log in again to continue with the registration process. This payment confirmation is crucial for proceeding to the next steps.

Step 6: The Online Screening Exercise It’s important to note that the entire screening exercise will be conducted online. Candidates will not need to physically visit the campus for this stage. This online approach is designed to ensure accessibility and convenience for all applicants.

Other necessary information

It is important to note while filling out the forms and uploading your credentials, that honesty is paramount. Providing false information or uploading incorrect credentials can lead to automatic disqualification. Make sure that all the information you provide is truthful and verifiable.

After completing the registration process, you must keep an eye on the OAU admissions portal. From Tuesday, September 12th, to Saturday, September 23rd, 2023, you’ll be able to access your screening schedule. This will let you know the specific date and time of your screening. On your allotted date and time, log in to the portal to participate in the screening.

There is a screening fee of N2,000, not including portal access charges. Payment is necessary for successful registration. Throughout the registration process, if you encounter any issues or have questions, You can contact the OAU support team at [email protected].
