The passing of figures like singer Mohbad, Yoruba actor Murphy Alabi, and actor-film producer Saint Obi dominated the loss category. Mohbad also led as the most searched Nigerian news topic in 2023.
Nigerians demonstrated a keen interest in political and economic affairs, evident in top-searched questions such as “Who is the winner of the 2023 presidential election?” and “What is fuel subsidy?” These inquiries reflect how Google Search served as a tool for individuals to delve into the political and economic landscape of the country in 2023.
