On March 1, “Spaceman” unfolds the tale of astronaut Jakub (Adam Sandler). Stranded on a solo mission to the solar system’s edge, Jakub discovers a mysterious creature that aids him in reconciling with his estranged wife, Lenka (Carey Mulligan). Directed by Johan Renck, this adaptation of “Spaceman of Bohemia” stars Paul Dano, Kunal Nayyar, Lena Olin, and Isabella Rossellini.
“Spellbound,” directed by Vicky Jenson, follows Ellian, the determined daughter of Lumbria’s rulers, on a daring quest to save her transformed parents. It features an all-star voice cast including Rachel Zegler, Nicole Kidman, Javier Bardem, John Lithgow, Jenifer Lewis, Nathan Lane, and Tituss Burgess, with an original score by Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater.
“Ugly” explores a futuristic world mandating cosmetic surgery at 16. Here, Tally embarks on a journey to save a runaway friend, challenging societal norms. Directed by Simon Otto, this animated film marks Richard Curtis’ venture into animation and stars Nicole P. Hearon and Adam Tandy.
“Tyler Perry’s Mea Culpa” sees criminal defence attorney, Mea Harper (Kelly Rowland) navigating a complex murder case involving artist Zyair Malloy (Trevante Rhodes). The truth proves elusive as desire and danger intertwine in this suspenseful drama.
“Ultraman: Rising” unfolds when Tokyo faces monster attacks, prompting an all-star athlete to reluctantly embrace the Ultraman mantle, discovering that raising a giant monster poses an even greater challenge.
“Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story” takes us to 1963 Michigan, where cereal rivals, Kellogg’s and Post race to create a pastry. Directed by Jerry Seinfeld, this tale of ambition, betrayal and breakfast stars the comedian in his directorial debut.
“The Union” thrusts construction worker Mike (Mark Wahlberg) into the world of espionage when ex-girlfriend Roxanne (Halle Berry) recruits him for a high-stakes US intelligence mission.
“Woody Woodpecker Goes to Camp” follows Woody’s quest for a permanent home at Camp Woo Hoo, threatened by an inspector’s looming shutdown. Directed by Jared Hess and Lynn Wang, this quirky adventure releases on April 12.
