The third category, the Top Ten UTME Scholarship, is awarded to the top ten scorers in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Recipients of this scholarship receive support from their 100-level year through graduation, provided they meet the grade requirements.

To apply for the MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (MTN STS), applicants must be 300-level students in public tertiary institutions in Nigeria, studying STEM-related courses, and maintain a CGPA of 3.5 or higher.
For the scholarship for blind students (MTN SBS), eligibility extends to 200 and 300-level blind students across various disciplines who maintain a CGPA of 2.5 or above. The Top Ten UTME scholarship automatically qualifies the top ten scorers in the UTME, supporting them throughout their university education.
Successful applicants in these categories are awarded N300,000 annually until graduation, provided they continue to meet the academic requirements.
