With cyber incidents in countries like Nigeria skyrocketing—reaching nearly 300,000 data breaches in Q2 2024 alone— APISentry, a pioneering API security platform is excited to announce the launch of its APISentry Startup Security Programme.
An initiative designed to help early and growth-stage startups enhance their cybersecurity measures and protect their digital assets from emerging threats.
The programme offers startups the opportunity to secure their APIs and digital infrastructure using APISentry’s advanced security suite. Up to 50 African tech startups will be selected and offered up to $150,000 in APISentry credits to help them secure comprehensive protection against evolving cyber threats, allowing them to focus on innovation and growth while their digital systems are well protected against attacks and vulnerabilities.
They will also gain access to valuable mentorship, networking opportunities and support from industry experts.

Shedding light on the programme’s mission, Emmanuel Ezehiwele, CEO of APISentry explains:
“Although startups are often easy targets for cyber attackers, many still take a reactive rather than proactive approach to cybersecurity. This program is designed to educate startups on the critical importance of adopting proactive cybersecurity measures, while also equipping them with the tools to defend against potential threats.”
How to apply:
The programme is open to tech startups across Africa that have developed a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or have launched a product in the market.
Startups must also demonstrate a clear commitment to enhancing their cybersecurity infrastructure using APISentry’s solutions. Interested startups may apply by filling out this form.
