Teenage football star Lamine Yamal becomes OPPO global brand ambassador

Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, OPPO has announced 17-year-old Spanish footballer, Lamine Yamal, as its global brand ambassador. Yamal is set to play a significant role in the company’s “Make Your Moment” brand refresh initiative.

OPPO believed that the collaboration with the young star will inspire more young people worldwide to seize the present, channel their passion into action, and create their own extraordinary stories for the future.

Describing the Spanish and Barcelona winger, President of Overseas Marketing, Sales, and Services at OPPO,  Billy Zhang said Lamine Yamal is both a gifted footballer and an inspirational young man with an incredible passion for football.

Known for his pace, dribbling, passing, crossing ability, and ability to strike powerful long-range shots, Lamine Yamal is widely regarded as one of the best young footballers in the world. 

A product of La Masia, Barcelona’s youth academy, Yamal made his first-team debut in 2023, aged 15. He quickly established himself as an integral player for Barcelona, being awarded the Kopa Trophy the following year.

Lamine Yamal has represented Spain internationally at various youth levels, and made his debut for the senior team in 2023, becoming the youngest player to represent and score for the country at age 16.
