Popular design platform Canva experienced a major outage on Tuesday, leaving users frustrated. Issues such as uploading images, accessing the website and app, and disrupting projects were reported in the early hours of the day.
According to Downdetector, a platform that tracks real-time outages, over 400 reports came in with 51 per cent of users experiencing problems with the website, while 24 per cent faced issues with the mobile app and 35 per cent struggled with server connection.

Canva is widely used by businesses, students, and content creators, making any downtime highly inconvenient.
Several users, including Nigerians, have expressed their frustration on social media, where they requested an update from Canva’s support team. Some claim that their ongoing projects have been disrupted, while others are worried about meeting deadlines.
Canva acknowledged the issue on X and said that the company is trying to resolve it.
“We hear you! Our engineers are working to resolve the issue and we will make sure to keep you informed. You can visit http://canvastatus.com for updates. Send us a DM for more concerns. Thank you for your patience and understanding,” the platform wrote.
Most complaints point to website-related issues, with users unable to log in or load their projects. Others have reported difficulties in accessing Canva’s mobile app, making it impossible to edit or create new designs.
