As more people use Artificial Intelligence (AI), especially user-friendly chatbots, in their daily lives, one of the frequently asked questions is: “Which is best”? Is it the popular ChatGPT, Google’s powerful Gemini, or the new contender, Meta AI?
Since its launch in November 2022, ChatGPT has evolved from being a simple conversational assistant into one of the most advanced and widely used tools in the world.
The revolutionary chatbot AI can do a surprising number of tasks, from holding an actual voice conversation to writing an entire term paper. Microsoft integrated the GPT language model behind ChatGPT into products such as Bing, Edge, Teams and Copilot.
Google’s Gemini AI has continued to evolve since its initial launch. The tech giant launched the 2.5 Pro model in May 2025 to increase its reasoning, multimodal input handling and overall task performance. This update places it on par with other advanced models like OpenAI’s GPT-4o and Anthropic’s Claude.
Surprisingly, Google added this model to its list of free AI tools.
Well, what do you know about Meta AI?
Meta AI is similar to other major AI platforms like OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini AI. Meaning that if you have tried the other chatbots, you should get the gist of Meta AI fairly quickly.
Yet, it stands out because of its integration within Facebook and Instagram, other Meta platforms with which many users are already familiar. This makes it a smoother experience for generating, sharing, and consuming AI-generated content.
It is the brainchild of Meta, the parent company behind Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The AI model is built on Meta’s open-source Llama 3.2 and works across the company’s ecosystem. Meta AI is available in a dozen countries as a standalone chatbot version at meta.ai, for free.
This article is a report of my interaction with the top three chatbots: ChatGPT, Gemini and Meta AI, although there are other options (like Claude, DeepSeek and Zoho’s Zia) out there. I used the following criteria: response speed, response accuracy, creative accuracy, ease of use and other considerations for my analysis.
To reiterate, these summations are from my personal experience. So, let us get to it:

1. Response speed
Most chatbots are capable of crafting human-like text responses based on input.
To test the 3 AI chatbots, they were asked the same questions to try to gauge their differences, although there was some common ground. I came up with a simple prompt: “Is Ojude Oba the biggest cultural festival in Nigeria?”.
And, below are their response times:
ChatGPT: 6-7 seconds
Gemini: 5-6 seconds
Meta: 4-5 seconds
2. Response accuracy
Let me add a bit about the quality and accuracy of their responses. ChatGPT is the most detailed. It provided the most information about the festival. It also answered my question most specifically in the end.

Gemini’s response indicates a robust database. It provided an alternative to Ojude (the Calabar Street Carnival) and lists other festivals. But it fails to prove why the carnival is bigger.

Meta AI’s response was the most precise. Yet, it only tells me the difficulty of my question and tells me why the festival is big enough, but it does not provide a specific answer.

In all, the responses indicate that there isn’t an exact verdict on the biggest festival in Nigeria.
3. Creative accuracy
Prompt: Can you generate a picture of me in red and blue Aso Oke and riding a horse in the 2025 Ojude Oba festival?
ChatGPT: First, it asked me for a picture. I did, and it produced this picture. It was the best output that I got from all the prompts.

Well, I was more concerned about the resemblance. So, I asked ChatGPT to come up with a picture that looks like me. Interestingly, it asked me for a close-up face picture. I did. And, it came up with this:

Well, I was disappointed by the outcome. Maybe I need prompt training or assistance.
Gemini: As soon as I dropped the prompt, it generated a beautiful image. It was very sharp and beautiful. But, obviously AI.

Of course, there were two issues. The first is that the rider does not look like me. The second is that the environment does not depict Ojude Oba: you will not typically find an ethnically diverse group of bystanders. And, supporters surround riders at the festival, not onlookers of other ethnic nationalities.
I responded with “This is not me. It, obviously, isn’t me. I am not as handsome.” And, it came up with another instantly.

You will agree that it was worse. But, I wouldn’t give up. So, I uploaded a picture that I took as a guide and came up with this:
I asked for an actual image and not a cartoon, and it came up with this:

At this point, I stopped digging.
Meta AI: Apparently, Meta AI does not have a picture-generating feature yet. “Oops! I can’t generate images of you yet. This feature will be available to you soon”, it responded.
4. Ease of use
- ChatGPT: Intuitive responses, more accurate responses and a very accessible interface
- Gemini: Very good interface, expansive responses and quick responses
- Meta AI: The most accessible (available on WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram), with the easiest login process and provides better-summarised responses.

5. Other considerations:
Overall, below is a summary of my other conclusions:
- In terms of affordability, all the features of the Meta AI are free to use.
- For productivity tasks (document summaries, transcriptions, email drafting and other suggestions), use Gemini.
- For creative writing, content creation and idea generation, ChatGPT is the best of the three.
- For research and data accuracy (references, technical analysis), I found Gemini to be the best.
I hope this helps.
