Advancing in tech as a young woman often requires more than joining communities, attending events, or collecting certifications. Sometimes, growth comes from studying the women who have already walked the path and have spent years building, leading, innovating, and breaking barriers in the industry.
These are women who build in public and are actively visible across various social media platforms. Most of them have navigated major challenges in their career trajectory while building expertise, mentoring and creating lasting impact in tech, which can offer the kind of clarity and motivation no community alone can provide.
For many young Nigerian women in tech, seeing others who have successfully built thriving careers in the same field makes ambition feel more tangible and success more attainable.
To spotlight those role models, we asked women in tech to share the Nigerian women whose journeys inspire them to grow, push harder, and advance in their careers.
Here are 7 who caught our eyes on the list.
1. Mitchelle Chibundu, Founder, Hourze & Designer Babe

Mitchelle Chibundu is a leading voice shaping the future of tech in Africa and beyond. She is the Founder & CEO of Hourze, an AI-powered platform turning human growth into verifiable, portable proof, empowering people to own their skills, opportunities, and fulfilment in the new era of work.
She is also the founder of Designer Babe, a global education and media brand that has reached 75,000+ people across the UK, Africa, and the US through books, events, community, and cultural storytelling. She spent a decade in product design across fintech and crypto.
According to Akodu Loveth, a Product Designer at Rwazi, Mitchelle is one of the women who inspires her to do more.
“Mitchelle stands out for how she builds with clarity and intention. Even across different tech stacks, watching her grow publicly while staying grounded reminds me that true impact isn’t about noise, but consistency, depth, and service. I hope to continue building and growing in the same spirit as they do,” Loveth said.
2. Ebi Atawodi, Senior Director of Product Management at Google

Ebi Atawodi calls herself a creative at heart and culture preservationist, harnessing the power of storytelling to bring magic into the everyday. She cares deeply about storytelling as a force for healing and connection and believes that technology should amplify, not erase humanity.
According to Omonigho Okome, a Senior Product Manager at Paga Group, Ebi specialises in content creator experiences, and she is an incredibly inspiring product leader.
“I’m a total fan of Ebi Atawodi. She’s living proof that Nigerian women can thrive and lead at the very highest levels of global tech,” Omonigho said.

Lashay Lewis is the founder of two major brands: BOFU.ai, a system that helps B2B SaaS companies create AI workflows that take customer insights and create BOFU content and sales enablement. Then the second is Authority Plug, a US-based Educational company.
