Africa’s leading payments technology company, Flutterwave, has revealed that its total processed value (TPV) in Pay with Bank Transfer surged by 198.08% between H1 2024 and H1 2025. The Nigerian-based company attributed the surge to customers’ trust, smart cost management and improved efficiency in its operating system.

According to a first-half review released by the company, the mission to streamline its operations across key markets and focus on payment volume that serves real-time long-term goals is already showing significant results.

Owing to the performance, its enterprise payment, F4B Enterprise, recorded an almost 20% YoY increase in TPV while the monthly margin doubled YoY during the first half of 2025.

This is a strong signal of our maturity, transparency, and readiness to operate at a truly global scale. For our partners, regulators, and customers, it reinforces one thing: we’re building a business that’s fundamentally sound,” the company said.

During the period in review, Flutterwave said that it processed nearly $1 billion in transactions between Africa and East Asia, a testament to its large-scale enterprise merchants from around the world.

According to Flutterwave, the result is attributed to a strategic partnership that empowers Nigerian businesses to make local payments to suppliers across East Asia, with the company handling the collection end-to-end.

It’s a clear testament that global scale starts with trusted infrastructure – something Flutterwave continues to provide for enterprise merchants looking to do business in Africa from anywhere in the world,” it said in the statement.

In addition, the company revealed that it has secured new approvals in Ghana, Cameroon, and Senegal, and deepened its presence in Zambia. With collaboration with relevant agencies in Nigeria, such as FIRS, SMEDAN, and NITDA, the company is making moves to further strengthen its regulatory foundation across the African continent.

Flutterwave continues to expand its footprint across the world by securing  20 new Money Transmitter Licenses (MTLs) in the United States during the first six months, bringing its total to 34. This now allows the company to streamline payments and operate independently in key states.

The company saw transactions in Turkey grow significantly, with the Kuwait market showing a solid momentum as TPV surged by 112.11% compared to H1 2024, attributed to its partnership with a major ride-hailing giant in both countries. This again signalled Flutterwave’s strength to build a trust network and streamline payments between Africa and the rest of the world.

Flutterwave’s pay with bank transfer and the Send App

Flutterwave’s Pay with bank transfer, which allows customers to receive payments via bank transfers, is also making waves.

When it launched the product in Ghana earlier this year, Flutterwave wanted to penetrate the West African country’s payment system, which recorded 115 million bank transfer payments in 2023. The introduction enables Ghanaians to receive payments seamlessly and securely through a rapidly growing payment method.

Now, Flutterwave revealed that in just one quarter, it processed 26% more transactions than other alternative payment methods, driven largely by large corporations and enterprises. According to the company, Ghana’s overall transaction value skyrocketed in H1 2025 by 47x compared to H1 2024.

Also, its Send App by Flutterwave product has expanded across markets such as Ghana, Egypt, the United States and the European Union.

From Berlin to Ibadan, from New York to Kumasi, Send App is making international money movement feel local, fast, and reliable. Every corridor we unlock, every license we earn, every product we improve contributes to one goal: building strong rails for a stronger Africa,” the company said.

Recall that the company’s relaunch of the Send App by Flutterwave now allows users in states such as Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming to send money directly to Nigeria, Ghana, and Egypt.

In its drive into H2 2025, the company expressed optimism to extend its footprint and launch its products across various corridors by connecting Africa to the rest of the world.
