Olugbenga “GB” Agboola, the founder and CEO of Flutterwave, has earned a prestigious spot on FinTech Magazine’s Top 100 Fintech Leaders for 2026. This recognition places him alongside some of the biggest names in the financial technology sector, such as Patrick Collison from Stripe, Brian Armstrong of Coinbase, Jeremy Allaire at Circle, Brad Garlinghouse of Ripple, and Jack Dorsey from Block.

Notably, Agboola is the only Nigerian to make this year’s list.

Recently, Flutterwave secured a license to operate as a Nigerian Microfinance Bank. This significant milestone allows the company to directly hold funds and deposits, paving the way for enhanced services, including business accounts, payments, payouts, and treasury management.

Flutterwave is also venturing deeper into cross-border payments and digital assets. The company has developed stablecoin-powered products designed to streamline international money transfers, specifically tailored for various African markets.
