Romantic comedy movie ‘Call of My Life’ has become the first Nollywood movie to cross the ₦600 million mark in gross earnings in 2026, outside December releases. The milestone comes after its sixth weekend appearance at the Cinemas.
According to the weekly statistics by the Nigerian Box Office, ‘Call of My Life’ grossed ₦32.6 million in its sixth weekend from 19th to 21st June, summing to a cumulative of ₦628.3 million.
The movie debuted strongly on the May 15 weekend, earning ₦76.5 million during its opening weekend and ₦78.2 million during its initial release period.
The film’s producers and distributors, Film One Entertainment, announced the movie’s milestone on Monday.
“Call of My Life just crossed a massive N628 million at the box office, and the records keep coming,” the company said in the statement.

It shared that the romantic comedy movie has also become the seventh-highest-grossing Nollywood movie in the West African market. It also noted that the movie has maintained its position as the number-one film at the box office for six consecutive weekends.
While thanking viewers for their support, the distributors said that the film is now the highest-grossing Nollywood title of 2026, and the first Nollywood release to exceed N600 million outside December releases.
Aside from Call of My Life‘s latest milestone, other movies are also contending for the top spot.
‘Iwe Ala: An Ojude Oba Story’ is second, generating ₦17.4 million in its second week of release. ‘On Different Grounds’ followed with ₦13.7 million, while ‘Michael’s’ biopic added another ₦13.5 million during its ninth week in cinemas, revealing the movie’s sustained appearance in audience viewership choices.
At the fifth spot is ‘Disclosure Day’, grossing ₦11.6 million in its second weekend.

About ‘Call of My Life’
Directed by Dammy Twitch, ‘Call of My Life’ focuses on Soluchi (Uzoamaka Power), a hopeless romantic still healing from being jilted by her former lover, Kalu (Zubby Michael). At a point when a regular work call puts her in touch with the charming Eli (Andrew Bunting), Soluchi begins to see the possibility of the love story she has always wanted.

The film also features a supporting cast that includes Nkem Owoh, Patience Ozokwo, Beverly Osu, Justin UG, and the popular comedian Broda Shaggi. It also includes live performances by Johnny Drille and Cobhams Asuquo.
The movie is the first feature film by Dammy Twitch, who has directed videos for leading musicians such as Davido and other top brands. In 2023, he directed ‘I Hate It Here,’ a short drama about domestic violence.
