Salus Cloud, an AI-native DevSecOps platform, secured $3.7 million in a Seed funding round, and it is set to transform how lean engineering teams deliver software securely in Africa, the Middle East, and other high-growth markets.
The investment fuels Salus’s mission to empower startups and enterprises with fast, secure, and scalable software deployment, levelling the playing field for teams without dedicated DevOps resources.
Atlantica Ventures and P1 Ventures, two of Africa’s heavyweight investors in game-changing tech, co-led the round, joined by LoftyInc Capital, Zedcrest Capital, Everywhere Ventures, and Tim Chen, a globally recognised DevSecOps expert and General Partner at Essence VC.
The funds will turbocharge product development, refine Salus’s go-to-market strategy, and expand its AI-powered developer agents, which streamline deployment cycles and bolster code security.

Salus also plans to grow its customer base in underserved tech ecosystems and enhance onboarding for both self-service and enterprise users.

Speaking on the raise, CEO of Salus Cloud, Andrew Mori, said the funding will enable the startup to serve high-growth companies.
“In much of the growth market, most startups and SMEs still operate without secure automated software delivery processes, leaving them vulnerable to breaches, compliance challenges, and slow release cycles. This funding gives us the firepower to level the playing field, so that high-growth teams, regardless of size or geography, can deploy secure, production-grade software with confidence. We’re incredibly grateful to our investors and remain committed to building best-practice infrastructure, powering the operations of businesses in the cloud,” Mori said.
Salus is deploying AI to reduce operational overhead
Salus, launched in 2024 by African engineers, tackles the unique challenges of growth markets head-on. Unlike foreign platforms, Salus claims to understand the complexities of these regions and delivers tailored solutions.
Its enterprise-grade platform harnesses AI-driven automation to simplify Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) with zero-touch configuration.
The AI system actively detects and fixes production issues, from security vulnerabilities to performance bottlenecks, in real time. This integration of security and observability into deployment pipelines frees developers to innovate, cutting operational overhead for lean teams.

The global DevOps tooling market, projected to hit $25.5 billion by 2028, underscores the demand for smarter, more secure systems, with application security expected to surpass $20 billion by 2030. Yet many African markets still grapple with outdated tools and fragile pipelines, slowing development and amplifying risks.
Salus targets the 95% of teams lacking dedicated DevOps talent, offering accessible, best-practice software delivery.
It’s clear, usage-based pricing breaks down cost barriers, making enterprise-grade tools affordable for startups and SMEs. Since its launch, Salus has won over top fintechs and e-commerce brands across Africa.

“There is a convergence of security, AI, and development, and Salus is positioned to bring that to market. This is aligned with our vision for Africa and the future expansion markets for Salus.”

Salus Cloud stands poised to redefine software delivery, blending AI, security, and accessibility to empower high-growth teams worldwide.
