Tech Events in Africa: IHS Telecoms Conference, Africa Digital Heroes Award, and Angel Fair Africa

IHS Telecoms Conference

The conference seeks to explore the benefits of integrating power solutions into the broadband plan and to chart a road map for sectoral collaboration that will bring about the broadband growth.

As the maiden edition, the event will bring together business leaders, regulators, investors, government, experts and practitioners, to engage on issues of Broadband and Power.

Cyber Security Meet-Up, Imo

This is a quarterly meetup to discuss various topics in the cyber security world. It aims to help attendees and enthusiasts increase their experience through knowledge sharing and networking.

Important issues in cyber security will be discussed and contributions will be taken from anyone willing to participate. The event is open to everyone who is involved or has an interest in cyber security.

Blockchain Rwanda Meetup

Cryptocurrency continues to gain ground around the world, as there are a lot of interests in learning about blockchain and cryptos. And this event wants to bring together blockchain experts, practitioners, enthusiasts and beginners to learn, analyse, and learn about the world of blockchain.

Sahara Sparks 2019

The largest East and Central Africa event on innovation and technology entrepreneurship, Sahara Sparks promotes an avenue for discussion on global trending technology.

The event also supports early-stage companies by providing them a platform to pitch and exhibit their businesses to an audience of several investors and partners.

Venue: Mlimani City, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

7th Angel Fair Africa

Angel Fair Africa is a platform for over 100 investors, entrepreneur and stakeholders to discuss the role of technology and innovation. In addition to that, the event will also encourage investment in entrepreneurs to foster development on the continent.

Venue: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Date: Thursday, October 10 – Friday, October 11, 2019.

Africa Digital Heroes Award

The Africa Digital Heroes Award is designed to celebrate and recognise individuals, organizations, institutions and initiatives that have advanced the Nigerian/African digital space in the past 20 decades.

These recognitions will cut across academics, governance, innovation, and the creative industry.

Venue: Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Date: Saturday, October 12, 2019
