Andela’s Vice President of Global Operations, Seni Sulyman has announced his plans to step down from that role effective from May 15. This brings an end to his 4 years run at the company.
After four tremendous years at Andela, I am transitioning out of my role as Vice President of Global Operations and into the Alumni Network on May 15. I am immeasurably grateful for the privilege to have spent the last few years doing the hardest yet most fulfilling work of my career, with some of the most passionate and driven people I’ve met.
Seni Sulyman
An Electrical Engineering degree holder from Northwestern University, Seni Sulyman joined Andela in 2016 – 2 years after it was founded- as Director of Operations in Nigeria.
Since then he has gone on to hold 3 more roles – Country Director for Andela Nigeria (2017-2018), Interim Country Director for Andela Kenya (2019) and Vice President, Global Operations (2018 – present).


Prior to working at Andela, he had held roles at e-commerce company Konga, CardinalStone Hewlett Packard Entreprises and Bristow Group. His roles revolved around strategy and business development.
In his capacity as Andela’s Vice President of Global Operations, Seni was responsible for leading and building high-performance teams and driving change management initiatives across Andela’s African operations – Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Ghana and Egypt.
Moving forward, Seni plans to take a personal sabbatical. He intends to relax and put together avenues to help him share his learnings with other entrepreneurs and leaders building companies. This will include new sessions of his live show Real Talk with Seni and Zoom office hours for anyone interested in connecting or learning.
“After some time off, I’ll plan my next great adventure in line with my life’s purpose of building an ecosystem of exemplary African businesses and leaders,” says Seni Sulyman.
