Hmm, this week has been quite eventful for Davido. The amount of controversy and dragging he’s faced is remarkable. It’s really puzzling why our 30BG boss is gathering so many alleged baby mamas. It’s starting to give off Nick Cannon vibes, to be honest.
Just a few weeks ago, he was heavily criticized for referring to Burna Boy as a “new cat,” and now it appears that all his baby mamas have conspired to bring him down completely. It’s quite surprising considering he’s a married man. What about “his sister, Chioma?”
It all began when a social media influencer named Anita Brown publicly claimed to be pregnant with Davido’s child. She even provided evidence to support her claim, and it became a shocking exposé that even involved Davido’s wife, Chioma.
Following that revelation, more women stepped forward, stating that they are carrying a baby of the singer and had their own share of contributing to his infidelity. Although, his French-based baby mama has been trying to sever the situation between Anita and Davido. At this point, it seems like everyone has weighed in on the matter except for Davido himself and his wife.
They haven’t issued any public statement regarding the situation. It’s safe to say that the singer is currently “UNAVAILABLE” to engage in the drama surrounding him.
Burna Boy wins BET Awards for the 4th time
Not to ignite any rivalry among fans, but I’m starting to question Burna Boy’s status as a “new cat” in the music industry, considering his ability to consistently win more BET awards than established artists (old cats).
The “Best International Act” category at the BET Awards has been dominated by Nigerians since its inception in 2018, with Davido as the first winner. However, Burna Boy has claimed the award every year from 2019 to 2021, except for 2022 when Tems emerged victorious. So, where does Wizkid fit into all of this?
In this year’s award show, Burna Boy triumphed over Ayra Starr, Aya Nakamura, Central Cee, Ella Mai, K.O, L7nnon, Stormzy, Tiakola, and Uncle Waffles to secure the win. Despite not being physically present at the show, the Ghanaian-Liberian actor Michael Blackson received the award on Burna Boy’s behalf.
This victory adds to the already impressive list of accomplishments for the Nigerian music industry, particularly for Burna Boy himself. As usual, fans are naturally ecstatic about this achievement, disregarding the fact that their favourite artist faced criticism just a fortnight ago.
Banky W and Adesua Etomi, and Niyola
If this couple can have marital issues, who are you to believe love? I must say, this couple has truly embodied the essence of relationship goals since the day they tied the knot. Their chemistry, public display of affection, and unwavering support for each other have captivated both single and married individuals alike.
However, last week took a heartbreaking turn, as rumours spread like wildfire that Banky W had cheated on Adesua with Niyola. Ahh, how come? The news seemed implausible at first, but fans began to decipher certain lyrics in Niyola’s songs that they believed were aimed at Banky W.
It was a tumultuous time, and to be honest, I find myself inclined to give Banky W the benefit of the doubt and attribute his actions to the influence of the devil because, honestly, what else could explain it? Fans wasted no time in expressing their outrage, dragging both Banky W and Niyola relentlessly.
The situation escalated to the point where the couple had to disable their comment section on social media, but even that couldn’t quell the fans’ fervour. Adesua attempted to address the situation by posting a picture and, as expected, the couple tried to showcase their affection publicly, but fans remained unconvinced.
Although none of the three individuals involved has made any official statements, loyal fans are honestly hoping it is all a lie, especially with this Davido cheating scandal drama.
