The story of DoviLearn

Vincent Okeke’s story started in Lagos, Nigeria, a city known for its hustle and vibrant energy.

Raised in this dynamic environment, Vincent was always drawn to solving complex problems and making a real impact on the world. The sprawling urban landscape, complex transportation systems, and the vast distances between people in Nigeria presented significant obstacles to traditional, in-person training programmes. Travelling long distances for physical training sessions was both time-consuming and costly, especially in a country where infrastructure limitations make commuting difficult for many.

This challenge acted as a catalyst for Vincent Okeke’s career in education technology. Initially, Vincent was part of a small group that provided physical training on digital marketing, e-commerce, website design with WordPress, and product development back in 2015.

However, as demand grew, it became clear that prospective learners outside Lagos and within struggled to attend the in-person sessions due to distance, time constraints, and conflicting schedules. Recognising this gap, Vincent and his team explored leveraging digital solutions, such as virtual classes delivered through webinar software and video conferencing tools, to bring training to people regardless of their location.

Even with these, the team faced a new challenge: dealing with learners with diverse schedules. This realisation led Vincent to test the potential of on-demand learning. The results showed that asynchronous learning or blended learning could better meet the diverse learners and provide flexibility while maintaining quality. This birthed DoviLearn, a product of Dovichi Worldwide, a tech company incorporated in Nigeria with Vincent as a co-founder.

Before founding DoviLearn, Vincent played pivotal roles in edtech, most notably at Unicaf Limited, a global leader in online higher education and blended learning. With these experiences, Vincent recognised a gap in the market: the lack of accessible and affordable microlearning content that could help individuals and businesses in an increasingly digital world.

However, with the growing internet penetration in Nigeria and across Africa, more people gained access to digital tools and online learning opportunities. This rapid expansion indicated to Vincent that the demand for more flexible, learning solutions was not only growing but essential meeting the evolving needs of learners and professionals across the continent is crucial.

DoviLearn is now incorporated in the United Kingdom, as DoviLearn Global Education Ltd, and registered with the UK Register of Learning Providers (UKRLP).  It recently introduced its signature product – BulletLMS, a versatile Learning Management System (LMS) that is designed with the needs of businesses and educational institutions in mind.

Scheduled for official launch in early 2025, BulletLMS is already being used by early adopters who are helping refine the platform.

BulletLMS is designed to address some of the most significant pain points faced by organisations training and upskilling employees. One of the biggest challenges is the lack of adaptation in many existing LMS platforms. Traditional systems often fail to identify skill gaps in teams or individuals, making it difficult to deliver training that is relevant and impactful.

“BulletLMS will address this by offering adaptive learning features that can tailor training to the specific needs of the user and businesses”, Vincent Okeke explained.

What is Adaptive Learning and Is it the Future?

As Vincent explained, adaptive learning is not just a buzzword but a game-changer for how we approach employee training.

“Adaptive learning is the next big thing because it tailors educational content to the individual’s unique needs. For businesses, this means training that is truly aligned with the specific skills and knowledge gaps of employees. In other words, it’s not just about teaching, it’s about transforming how people learn to make them more effective in their roles,” he asserts.

BulletLMS is poised to revolutionise corporate training by offering highly personalised learning paths for each employee powered by artificial intelligence. it ensures that content is delivered based on data-driven insights and real-time learning progress, including aligning broader business goals with training needs to help actualise those set goals. Adaptive training is the way forward and can transform businesses exponentially. In our future iterations, it will be possible to tailor adaptive training beyond just individual learning needs, but to the broader teams and departmental skill-gap needs”, Vincent added.

Another major issue in corporate training is the high cost associated with traditional learning methods. Organisations often spend a significant amount of money on training programs that may not deliver the desired results. But with BulletLMS, organisations can reduce training costs by up to 73%”, Vincent concluded.

Immersion3.org: The Research Behind BulletLMS

According to Vincent, BulletLMS doesn’t just rely on the content available on DoviLearn, its SaaS-based Learning Management System. The platform also leverages data-driven insights and findings from Immersion3.org, a collaborative research initiative led by DoviLearn Global Education Ltd and industry partners.

This research helps enrich the platform’s adaptive learning features, making BulletLMS an innovative and responsive LMS solution on the market.

BulletLMS is gaining traction from early adopters to shape its future. He further explained that traditional LMS platforms often fall short in adapting to the ever-changing needs of businesses:

“Most LMS platforms are static, offering the same content to all users, regardless of their experience level or learning style. BulletLMS, however, analyses the skills of learners, identifies gaps and recommends training content, including content that is not available within its ecosystem. If we succeed with our Immersive learning project under Immersion3.org, the system will be able to develop the needed content for the learners in real time”, he explained.

For him, this presents an exciting opportunity to expand DoviLearn’s reach even further. With its focus on affordability, adaptability, and cutting-edge technology, BulletLMS is poised to become a leading solution for organisations of all sizes, especially SMEs, who are looking for affordable and scalable ways to train their workforce.

The global market for learning management systems is expected to reach $82 billion by 2032, driven by the growing demand for online and blended learning solutions. As businesses increasingly shift to digital-first training models, platforms like BulletLMS are well-positioned to capture a significant share of this growing market.” – Vincent Okeke.

What is next for DoviLearn and BulletLMS?

As DoviLearn and BulletLMS continue to grow, Vincent Okeke remains focused on his mission to transform education and training across the globe.

Vincent remains optimistic about the future of education and training. “We’re on the point of a revolution in how businesses train their employees. Adaptive learning is the cornerstone of that transformation. With BulletLMS, we are not just providing an LMS; we are providing a platform that understands the learner’s journey and adapts to it”, he concluded.
