Leading ride hailing platform, Bolt, is set to reward the loyal drivers on its platform with up to N50 million in the latest edition of its Drive for a Prize campaign. The company said this is part of its continued recognition and appreciation for service excellence.
Inaugurated in 2020, the campaign is open for new and existing drivers in the company’s markets across the country. The campaign will last for 8 weeks during which drivers across the country will win various prizes.
The Drive for a Prize campaign which is currently in its fourth edition, is a driver support initiative aimed at celebrating the e-hailing company’s top-performing drivers by rewarding winners with various prizes. These prizes range from home appliances like brand new TVs to mobile phones amongst others.
Commenting on the campaign, Country Manager for Bolt Nigeria, Yahaya Mohammed, said the initiative is in line with the company’s commitment to the welfare of drivers. He described the campaign as an opportunity to demonstrate the company appreciation to drivers who are central to its operations.
“At Bolt, we recognise that drivers are fundamental to the continued growth of our brand in Nigeria, and we do not take their commitment and efforts for granted. We are excited to see drivers get rewarded in addition to their regular income,” he said.

How Bolt’s Drive for a Campaign prize would work
From its inception in 2020, Bolt says it has rewarded participating drivers with several amazing prizes worth over N50,000,000. The company says it has consistently played a leading role in Nigeria’s ride-hailing industry and serves as a role model within the industry due to its bias for excellent service delivery and innovation.
The campaign which is currently in its fourth edition was inaugurated in 2020. It is set to run for 8 weeks, during which drivers have the opportunity to accumulate points.
The driver with the highest points each week will emerge as the weekly winner. New drivers will receive bonus points to kickstart their participation.
The company noted that over the years, the campaign has again recorded wide participation among drivers across twelve cities. These cities include Lagos, Abuja, Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Benin, Kano, Jos, Uyo, Enugu, Ibadan, Akure and Owerri.
“The ‘Drive for a Prize’ contest is just one of the ways Bolt appreciates and rewards drivers for their dedication to serving riders diligently and we hope that this initiative will further motivate drivers to continue delivering top quality service to riders,” the Country Manager, Yahaya Mohammed said.
